FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
THE JOHN R. OISHEI FOUNDATION AWARDS $300,000 TO
THE CARE MANAGEMENT COALITION OF WESTERN NEW YORK, INC.
Support Helps Regional Coalition of Family and Child-Serving Agencies
The eight member agencies of the Care Management Coalition of Western New York, Inc. are committed to being the unified voice supporting the needs of families and children. Throughout the Coalition’s twelve years of collectively supporting the quality life-sustaining services of its member agencies and the entire region’s system of care, tens of thousands of families have received crucial help and support when it was most needed. The John R. Oishei Foundation remains the strongest private supporter of the Coalition’s efforts.
The demands for the services provided by the agencies of the Coalition have dramatically increased while each is facing tremendous reductions in resources brought about by the deepest recession in eighty years. Each member remains deeply committed to being responsive to community needs and to providing the best possible and most cost-effective approach required to insure the safety and well-being of children and families. While facing their own agencies’ greatest challenges in memory, the leaders of these organizations also recognize and cherish the value, growing influence and future potential of the Coalition.
The tremendous support from the Oishei Foundation will provide the means to help solidify the continuance and viability of the Care Management Coalition of Western New York as it continues to work for the good of this region and beyond. The John R. Oishei Foundation’s commitment provides the time required to implement the Coalition’s new, solid and achievable plan for the continued success of the Coalition as it continues to meet its growing demands. “Quite simply,” states J. Mark Robinson, Executive Director of the Care Management Coalition, “it is impossible to imagine the regional success achieved by the Coalition without also recognizing the trust and support from the Oishei Foundation.”
The John R. Oishei Foundation strives to be a catalyst for change to enhance economic vitality and the quality of life for the Buffalo Niagara region. The Foundation was established in 1940 by John R. Oishei, founder of Trico products Corporation.
